Our Top 3 Fishing Spots Near Salmon Arm

Dean River

If you want to catch steelheads, this is one of the best locations in BC to do it. Less than a nine-hour drive from Salmon Arm, Dean River is a great place to head in your big Toyota Sequoia with some buddies for a long weekend.

 

According to Chromer Sport Fishing, “There are very few steelhead destinations that hold the mystic of the Dean River on British Columbia’s central coast. This is definitely one of the best steelhead fishing rivers in BC and home to some of the brightest summer-run fish found anywhere.”

Hidden Lake

Head to Hidden Lake with the family for a fun few days of camping and fishing. Located only a half an hour from Salmon Arm, Hidden Lake is full of Rainbow Trout waiting to be caught. There is a boat launch available for anyone looking to bring their own boat for some fun on the water. And if you’re driving a Toyota Tacoma, towing a boat is a breeze. Adams Lake and Adams River

For some of the best fly fishing anywhere, take a drive to Adams Lake and the connecting Adams River, only 35 minutes Northwest of Salmon Arm. Along with fantastic fly fishing in the river, Adams Lake is a great location for trout and other fish, so take the opportunity and enjoy some tremendous fishing that's only a short drive away.
